Are Ink Pens an Endangered Species?

My grandmother used to tell me to "take up a pen." It was her way of telling me I needed to write a thank-you note.

Personal note writing is a powerful tool in the hands of leaders. There is nothing quite so powerful as a note from a leader filled with words of life. A simple three-line note can have a more significant impact than 100 pats on the back.

The use of email is certainly quicker and "gets the job done," but the overall effect of a handwritten note is longer lasting and more engaging.

Leaders take the time to do what others only wish they had done.

Write 5 personal notes and then send me a note a year from now and tell me how much your influence has changed.

Today's Scripture

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (Prov. 18:21).

Platform Tip No. 61

Strategy answers the question, what should we do?

Tactics answer the question, how should we do it?

Your platform is all about drawing people to your message. That's strategy.

Tactics don't help people.

Your message helps people. Keep helping.
