Thousands of youth gathered over the weekend for the Pulse conference in the Twin Cities to worship the Lord—and break a world record.

The group filled U.S. Bank Stadium and had performances from Lecrae, Hillsong Y&F, Tye Tribbett and dance group the Jabbawockeez, Pulse Founder Nick Hall tells Charisma.

Testimonies from Minnesota Twins, Vikings, an Olympic gold medalist from the U.S. Women's Hockey team, and the founder of My Pillow, Mike Lindell—hence pillow fight—were interspersed throughout the event.

"Then, of course I gave a full Gospel message and invitation. We have 8,814 people record a gospel response, and now follow-up has begun. This effort was the culmination of 18 months of effort, with 750 churches working together and over 10,000 believers trained to share their faith. For charity, there was also a local food drive, and we partnered with World Vision for their Global 6K to build wells for clean water in Africa," Hall says.

After the fight, Lindell knelt in prayer:

I'm gonna say a prayer right now. I pray that somebody out there, that Jesus touched 'em tonight. And if you've got any prayers, Lord, make these pillows that people take home their prayer pillow. That they will lay on 'em and never forget this night. And they will pray to you Lord, and ask you into their heart and surrender—surrender to you Jesus! And we pray for the addicts, anybody addicted out there, that stories of hope like mine will change the world and change our country. We pray for peace; we pray for our country; we pray for our state; we just pray, Lord, we reached out to you ... we ask for ... please forgive our sins, Lord. Forgive us, and listen to our prayers tonight, Lord. And I want everybody to say a prayer of peace tonight, a prayer on their pillow. In Jesus' name, amen.

City Pages reports Guinness judges counted 7,681 pillow fighters, which bested St. Paul's Saints 2013 total of 6,261, which previously held the record.
