Rich Bott, president and CEO of Bott Radio Network, will marry Faye Tharp in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, Aug. 4.
Anticipating "big changes ahead," Bott shared how the two met and announced their wedding day on his Facebook page.
"This past Easter weekend I asked the most wonderful woman in the world to be my wife, and she said, Yes!" Bott said in his post. "Tomorrow, August 4, 2018, is the day we are to be married. ... She loves the Lord Jesus and for many years has worked faithfully with Focus on the Family and with the National Day of Prayer Task Force."
Neither Bott nor Tharp has been married before.
"Both of us have been serving the Lord as singles our entire adult lives," he said. "Tomorrow that will change as we begin serving the Lord together as husband and wife!"
Bott describes himself as "blessed beyond measure" and reports that his wife-to-be feels the same way.
"The verse we have chosen to highlight in our wedding is Psalm 37:4 which reads, 'Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.' Thank you for your prayers as we begin our new life together. And thank you for sharing our joy over God's wonderful blessing!"
Bott helms a Christian radio network that has more than 100 stations in 15 states.
