Last week I wrote about 14 Work Questions You Need to Answer.

In a comment to this post, one reader asked, on two of the 14 questions, how he could 1) better unleash the supernatural power of God working through him more than relying upon his natural skills? and 2) partner with heaven on this (project, activity, opportunity, problem)?

Well sir, here are my replies—and comments from other readers.

Unleash Supernatural Power

Every believer has within them the potential to release kingdom power in their sphere of influence. The key is to 1) believe you have the right to His power, 2) understand how to use His power and 3) be willing to release it when He directs you to.

Millions of Christians have been taught to stop at No. 1, in that salvation is enough, simply a get-out-of-hell-free card. Then do kind works and pray for the rapture.

For the rest of us, understanding how to use the power and being willing to release it at His direction is exactly what Jesus taught in John 14:12, "Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in me will do the works that I do also. And he will do greater works than these because I am going to My Father."

Jesus gave His disciples training in how to properly release heaven's supernatural power on earth. He will guide you, too. Ask Him (Matt. 7:7, Luke 11:9). Holy Spirit will teach you (John 14:26).

Finally, start slow. That is the first key I teach in my book, Our Unfair Advantage: How to Unleash the Power of Holy Spirit in Your Business where I share a simple six-step process to become better equipped to hear His voice and progressively build more boldness to step out in faith.

Partner With Heaven

Andy Mason challenged me with this question during his Heaven in Business conference last week in Destin, Florida.

Partnering with heaven is simply asking Holy Spirit, "OK, what do you want me to do right now—in this situation?"

Regardless of where you are or the situation you face, partnering with heaven is understanding His will (love, joy, peace, prosperity, healing and so on), then asking Holy Spirit, "How do you want to move through me now? What can I do to impact this situation for the kingdom?"

God's will is not mysterious. The Bible clearly teaches us His will: that all should come to salvation, to overcome the devil's strongholds on His creation, to free the captive, to heal the sick, to comfort the broken-hearted, to rebuild the ruined cities and so much more.

Therefore, to better partner with heaven, simply look around your environment and see what part of heaven in missing (no pain, no tears, no cancer, no poverty, no anger and so on). Once Holy Spirit points out something to you, simply ask, "OK, what do you want me to do?"

Then "Whatever He says to you, do it" (John 2:5)—just as the servants did at the wedding at Cana. Jesus does the work, not you (John 5:19, 5:30, 15:5).

For at the end of your ability lies a miracle.
