An innovative new program promises to equip entire congregations with a biblical worldview—in just 30 days.

The Bullseye Challenge, created by Larry Tomczak, encourages believers to spend 15 minutes each day studying a particular hot-button topic, like homosexuality or abortion. Each day's study includes three minutes watching an online video about the topic, 10 minutes reading a chapter from the accompanying book and two minutes praying and reflecting. After 30 days, a pastor will have led his congregation through the entire process of molding a modern biblical worldview.

Tomczak says he was inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer's classic quotation: "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."

The program's already seen success by early adopters of the program. Bill Johnson, pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, California, said he highly recommended the program. And after finishing the series, a young man from Celebration Church in Nashville, Tennessee, reportedly stood up and said, "I went through this with my parents and it's changed me. I just really understand things from a biblical standpoint."

Pastor Dotty Schmitt, of Immanuel's Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, also praised the program. She reportedly told Tomczak, "My daughter has a son who's been influenced and was questioning, 'What's wrong if gay people who love each other are getting married?' So we sat down and watched your section on LGBT issues, we talked, and he completely changed. He said, 'I can see it. I can see now why it's not right.' ... As a grandmother, thank you for this."

Tomczak has spent over 40 years in ministry and knows what pastors go through. That's why he says he made this program for them: "I've been a pastor—I know you're always looking for new tools."

Part of the program's success comes from knowing what hasn't worked in the past. Many people have been turned away from the church by fulminations and fire-and-brimstone sermons. Tomczak says the key is setting the right tone as a pastor when addressing these issues. In all material for the Bullseye Challenge, he strives to strike the right balance between correctly calling out culture while also expressing a calm, loving tone.

"Do you have confidence your people can present in a winsome and consonant way the truth? Or do they get tongue-tied and back off?" He says. "... We all have a ministry as ambassadors for Jesus, and we want our people to pray effectively, speak consonantly and win people with the gospel and unchanging truth. Lives are changed when we bring the truth and the Holy Spirit brings conviction. We're not bringing this so that people can be 'fighting fundies'—it's so they can have understanding of these issues, bring truth and help dispel deception."
