Benny Hinn 'Shocked' by Divorce

QUOTE: "Pastor Benny Hinn and his immediate family were shocked and saddened to learn of this news without any previous notice. The couple has been married for more than 30 years. Although Pastor Hinn has faithfully endeavored to bring healing to their relationship, those efforts failed and were met with the petition for divorce that was filed without notice." —Don Price, senior adviser to Benny Hinn Ministries, after Hinn's wife, Suzanne, filed for divorce on Feb. 1. The divorce papers cited "irreconcilable differences" with the famous healing evangelist. Married in 1979, the Hinns have three daughters and one son. [charismamag.com, 2/19/10]

We need to be very careful when we talk about a man of God. We supposed to pray for each other, because we never know when we can make a mistakel. Plus if people read the story , it said that he try to save his marriage. No always is the man the one that don't want to fix the problem. If he's not a real christian that's betwin him and God.

Quoting Donald Moeser:
It should be pretty obvious by now that stories like this divides us between those (myself included) who feel that Hinn is a charlatan, and those who come near to worshiping him.

Either way it brings out the worse in all of us.

So then, if all of the Brethren commenting here are truly saved and strive to live by the Word of the Living God, why are we 180 degrees apart?

Easy! Some of us don't understand what the Word says about fasle prophets and teachers in the end times!

So Yolanda, it is none of our business? Please quote me the Bible verse where it tells us not to expose false teachers and prophets. Should we therefore allow them to carry on hurting people and ruining their lives?

If you don't have anything good to say, find something else to talk about or do with your time! ...how about prayer!? ...That's the best first place to start with everything... so if you don't like something pray about it first.

That's what I did because I hate divorice and I felt compassion for Benny, Suzzane and Family. Also, I was dismayed at many people's opinionated responses here, many of which are not comming from a heart of love at all :(

..so I prayed about it.. and God activated me to launch a project He already had birthed in me...

Anyone who would like see that baby and join in prayer over the Hinn family please visit: http://www.puritysiege.com

I dont appreciate what I have read. Some of these comments are mimicing how the world sees things. This is the very reason why the world is in the trouble that it is in. We the Body need to get it together, pray for those who fall and mind our own business like the Bible says to do. There is a hurt and dying world out there that needs to come to the Lord Jesus Christ and then we have the nerve to sit and make comments on things that we have no business. Come on people. God sees the good and the evil. Get over yourselves and opinions and get on with Gods business or have yall forgetten? Let the wheat and tares grow up together and in the end He will separate. Yall just better make sure yall aint going to hell. We AINT got time for this sort of thing, Church. The world NEEDS US!!!!!!

I am amazed at how quick we are in judging ministers of God who have fallen from their status for a certain mistake they committed. If Benny Hinn is a false preacher just because of the divorce, how do we make about Hosea's case? His wife did not only separate from him, she even turned prostitute! Or how about David's sin with Batsheba and Uriah, or Abraham's sin of lying and Peter's denial of the Lord? will those who speak against fallen ministers also say, Hosea, David, Abraham and Peter were false prophets?

Evaluating someone to be a false prophet by a Biblical standard is not judging. That's a misunderstanding of the word. When you judge you automatically condemn. I don't think anyone has condemned Benny Hinn yet. If he is indeed a "healer," where's the evidence? Where is the proof?

Peggy, Trend is right, I use to live in fear of judging others, and to the point of not doing anything about the ones they hurt. Yes we all can be shaken and in that we must make sure we care about those who have been wounded by these kinds of ministers. We must judge what is not of God. Men like this are held to this judgement by putting themselves in the position they operate in . Certainly he needs our prayers, He needs a revelation of Jesus's heart again. Many have been hurt for years, believing they are planting into Gods ministry and will recieve back, healing or whatever. 5k This kind of ministry is not changing lives, it is causing desperate people to look for miracles instead of a relationship with God. I heard that millions have come to the Lord because of Benny, maybe, but how many has turned away because when the circus is over, they do not really know Jesus.
