Obama Approves National Day of Prayer

QUOTE: "We are blessed to live in a nation that counts freedom of conscience and free exercise of religion among its most fundamental principles, thereby ensuring that all people of goodwill may hold and practice their beliefs according to the dictates of their consciences."—President Obama, speaking in an address affirming the National Day of Prayer, which will be held May 6. The day has come under recent scrutiny after a federal judge in Wisconsin recently agreed with plaintiffs who had sued to put an end to the federal government’s involvement in the event. When former late president Ronald Reagan endorsed the passing out of a book titled. "The Book". People were kind of leary of what was his motive. Athiests were angry that you could get "The Book" for FREE AND IT WAS ADVERTISED ON TV. I AM JUST THANKFUL THAT A PRESIDENT OF THE USA GIVES BELIEVERS THEIR DUE RIGHT. I REALIZE THAT WHEN YOU GIVE SOMETHING IN POLITICS IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU PERSONALLY BELIEVE IT. BUT IT FALLS UNDER THE UMBRELLA "IT'S BEST FOR THE COUNTRY. ANY POSITIVE ADVERTISEMENT THAT WE CAN GET FOR OUR LORD AND SAVIOR IS WONDERFUL!

Why do we have to recognize them? America allows them to freely assemble and worship freely. It is MUSLIM countries that persecute and KILL Christians! Why is it we have to succumb to the whims of the world? We are the Body of Christ and it is in Him and Him alone that all must come (John 14:6). We don't close mosques and temples in this country...I think you are royally confused, my friend.

We're not the hypocrites. It's the folk who espouse Freedom FROM religion and not freedom OF religion.

Why does the church continue to sweat the unimportant details. We're so worried about Obama apologizing to Graham, but what about the Muslims and the other religions that aren't recognized by Christianity?
What hypocrites we have become. We support freedom of religion as long as it's our religion.

When Obama publicly apologizes to Franklin Graham and invites him to speak on May 6th I will be thankful. This speech was nothing more than an attempt to be politically correct. I have not yet seen the evidence of the fruit of the spirit that is what would convict one of being a Christian ~ confessing that Jesus Christ is your Lord and your Savior.

Has he also re-instated the Presidential prayer breakfast at the White House, and re-invited Franklin Graham to speak at the Pentagon? :-*

Did he also reinstate Franklin Graham as the invited guest?
