QUOTE: "The Bible is not mystical about loss. It's just the modern-day teachers that we have today that led us down the wrong path to thinking that there would be no challenges. The Bible has always been clear that there would be losses. But He promised to restore the years [of] cankerworms. ... When you look at 2010, I believe it is time for us ... to look at the fact that we have been through enough things, been through enough turmoil that now we're ready to move to the next level. ... Whenever God pulls back a bow, the arrow is going to go further than it's ever gone before. I believe that the turning point is going to be 2010. I believe because we have crossed this Jordan like Elijah and Elisha that we are now eligible to step into a double portion. Financially, yes. We need it; our country needs it; our world needs it. But beyond that, wisdom, inspiration, a new development of faith; I believe new ministries are going to burst wide open."

Neal, it is 'bishop' Jake's 'blanket statement' to which I, and the Holy Spirit, object. It's time to re-read Ezekiel and Jeremiah, prophets who were vilified by God's people in their generation, because they were the only ones warning about exile. All the others were preaching 'double portions' when God was promising only to save a repentant remnant.
If we want slogans, a better one is 'REPENT OF OUR SIN IN 2010.' Maybe when God sees a remnant stem the tide of pornography, adultery, and infanticide all layered over with greed, will he decide to bless our country with a 'double portion'.

2 Timothy 4
1I charge thee in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; 4and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables. 5But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.
