Church, How Unstoppable Are We?

QUOTE: "When anyone takes the time to read the book of Acts, it is easy to see that the 'church' was meant to be an unstoppable force in our world and communities. Matthew wrote the words that Jesus had concerning the future of the church: 'The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.' … I can only speak for myself, but I have to believe this type of church movement is something that is more and more on the hearts of pastors, churches and people who love Jesus Christ, and something we all long to be a part of. So much of what we see today is anything but unstoppable. Instead we see it can easily be derailed by the resignation of a pastor, a church disagreement, denominations, race or sex. I've spent the last 10 years in ministry asking God to be a part of what I was doing. When I read the book of Acts, I see people privileged to play a part in what God was doing." —James Streib, pastor of Lexington Community Church in Lexington, Ohio [mansfieldnewsjournal.com, 10/17/09]

Pastor James Streib, May God continue to bless you. It is one of my deep personal desires to see the church unify and stand out as a true light to the world. The power of Christ is beyond the world's darkness. With Christ being the head and we being the body, it is time for true believers to put God's Word into action. I am a young man but I believe that God will use anyone of any age who truly call on Him from a pure heart. May God use His children to bring the lost and lukewarm believers to salvation, and may His bride take Acts to heart and fulfill the Great Commission. May God continue to inspire the saints with His living Word, and may we be pleasing to Him in His sight.
