"Tee" -- Who did God use to bring His Word into the world? He used a woman -- Mary! God trusted a woman to bring the Way, the Truth and the Light to all mankind. He used women to go and tell the world when Jesus Christ was resurrected. The men were doubters and fearful -- the women believed and went immediately spreading the Good News that Jesus Christ lives. Who then should say now that a woman has no place in the delivery of God's Word?

Thank you so much for your thoughtful article. Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all the world, preach the gospel to every creature, teaching people, baptizing people. A woman Christian does not get a "pass" on this because she is female andthe Christian men in her life are uncomfortable with her fulfilling Jesus' commands. People would rather see 50% of the Body of Christ not functioning fully to keep up the illusion that it is not necessary for it to function fully in minds of the other 50%.

God never call a woman to father a people, become a Shepherd, priest, elder, prince or king. Women don't have testicles men don't have vaginas. God created both in his glory, for his glory yet to function in differ roles. Besides, can you name one woman pastor in the Bible. Surely the first should have been Eve and the second Mary the mother of Jesus. But it was not so. Neither has he called your mother, aunt, grandmother, niece to become a priest, prince or king. Queen power, position is what women possess. Sit in your right seat ladies. There is a strong rebellious spirit over America and churches as a whole. A Judge and a pastor have different roles one sentences to prison - one can't, etc. She should pastor bcause God didn't command nor leave an example of it in HIs Word.

I was so blessed by this article. I have really gone through with male pastors in some of the same ways. I was called to ministry at the age of 16, and it has been a hard road. The Lord has recently called me to be a pastor. I love God with all my heart and soul and long to please Him. I know the challenges that are out there but I fear God more than I fear the rejection of man. I want to encourage all women in ministry to heed God's voice and I will continue to pray for all of you. May the blessings of the Lord be with you and the ministry God has called you to.

Both articles by Sharon and Lee were great! I can relate as a former pastor and being in ministry 25 years as a single woman. Praise God he gives us the grace and strength to overcome those obstacles and make us stronger in our callings! Now we must assist the next generation of women in ministry to go forward and fulfill their destinies because they need role models. Very encouraging articles!.

While I was mingling with the pastors, a female church member who had helped prepare the meal pulled me aside.
This is the thing - I CANNOT sell my spiritual journey to my secular, professional, college-educated girlfriends when I am trying to sell them an institution that is 30 years behind the times with regards to women. So I go, I join, I tithe and I wait. I am a baby boomer. The women's movement hit us the hardest. My secular girlfriends think that church is hilarious - especially those who grew up in the sixties with no religious tradition and there are many! I'm telling you - this is a huge gap, one to not be ignored. The boomers are a demographic not be ignored- we all have children and grandchildren - many unchurched - may just because of the "women's issues" stuff - trust me, it's huge!!!

I am also a female minister - although not a pastor. I have been doing ministry work for over 40 years and it still amazes me how we can be overlooked and dismissed because of our gender. Praise God for those who have gone before us and helped to pave the way. My denomination ordains women in ministry and also allows us to pastor; however, we are not totally equal with men. They can obtain the title of Bishop and we cannot. While they have come a long way, there is still a long way to go. I happen to be single/divorced from a one time minister, and believe me sometimes it is even harder being a single woman in ministry. If we have a man standing by us and supporting us, we are much more accepted. And getting pastors to answer phone calls, letters, and e-mails from women in ministry is also an ordeal. My prayer is that each and everyone of us, regardless of our gender, race, etc. will be accepted for the calling that He has placed on our lives.

Praise the Lord! If God be for you who canbe against you. If you are called by God in any posistion, follow God's call and do not care what man says.
This article is timely and so true. Thank you so much for this wisdom and encouragement for women in ministry. I pray that every woman that is called in the body of Christ that reads this article, will be encouraged and take that step of faith to do what God has called her to do in ministry and leadership in the church. I was blessed and encouraged by this word. May God continually bless you in the work that he has destined you to do and may you remain faithful to the calling. Be Blessed.

:D Your article was on target. I am grateful to Charisma, J.Lee Grady, Fushia Pickett, the Strangs, Joyce Meyers, and so many others who have helped shaped and sown into my life who I am as a woman who just happens to be called by God to be a pastor. I am first and foremost His daughter; His friend; a woman after His own heart. Second, I am my husband's wife, and my childrens' mother. But, along the way, I also became an asst. pastor, and now a new church start pastor. The issue of being a woman in this vital, Kingdom-growing role grows dimmer with each year. Thank you for your words, your God-given wisdom, and encouragement. I once heard a (woman) Seminary pastor say that in Heaven there will be a book of all the called women that were unable to fulfill their mandated roles. Thank you for helping to bring freedom to women, and men, on this matter. To Jesus Christ be the glory.
