i attended an all black congregation today. i am white, but that's not important. what bothered me was the pastor spent almost his whole time talking about money, and how he got just what he needed just in time. that was alright, but then they passed out sheets that spoke only about prospering. i always thought the poor shall inherit the earth and that it's harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God, than for a camel to enter the eye of a needle. he also said that he had established his ministry about 3 years ago, and other than his family and some visitors NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE!! obviously his message is not being recieved with a fervour. i feel uncomfortable with this message. i had money and i've been broke. as long as i can meet my needs, not wants i'm happy. i have an mba and could be making $100k+ easily, yet i'm satisfied with my disability income. i went from $50+ to less than $10k in a year and have no regrets.
