With regard to the "torrent of sewage in today's culture". For many youth there is no bigger pile of rank, steaming excrement than the bible and odious zealots like Ron Luce who spew it's vile doctrines. In an open arena of ideas this bronze age tripe doesn't stand a chance. I believe the day will come (maybe not in my lifetime) when the Christianity mental virus is finally and permanently wiped off the face of the Earth ushering in a new age of reason and enlightenment.

We don't live in Christian cocoon anymore. The information age is exposing youth to wide variety of ideas and viewpoints many of which vehemently oppose the Christian belief system. As long as this is the case you really cannot reverse the trend of growing atheism among our youth. And indeed they have every right to proclaim their atheism just as you have a right to be a a Christian. I suggest you forget their faith differences and learn to get along with people.
