First, my wife and I are both Christian. Second, she finished a massage therapy training program at the local JC. Yoga was one of the final classes. She, of course, chose only to focus on the stretching aspect of the class and not any new age part of it. I just found out 10 minutes ago that my back pain is a compressed disc. I intend to use yoga, as my wife suggested the physical benefits, to stretch out my back. Just call it stretching if anyone has a problem calling it yoga. I will be doing "yoga" moves to help my back but I still follow Christ.

I agree with Donna Barret...these are demons entering our churches and confusing Christians. Nothing gives better peace in your mind, heart and soul as prayer to God. Nothing opens our eyes like reading the word of God. Let's get back to basics. God is not complicated, we make this relationship complicated.

These are the people who are entering our churches under the disguise of religious meditation. They are sent by satan to confuse us about the truth of Jesus Christ and his real message to us. It also allows the evil spirits to get a foot-hold in our churches. These teachings are not of God and woe to him that takes part in it.

I'm guessing Brook Boon will make the talk show rounds and make lots of money doing it. But I would NOT want to be in her shoes. Sadly I'm not at all surprised, it was just another accident waiting to happen. When in doubt, mix and match. Adding a dose of yoga, will not make the gospel more appealing, just more deceiving.

There is no such thing as hybrid Christianity. The Good News about Jesus the Messiah remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Mixing elements of Christianity, which come from the Bible, with elements of Eastern yoga and meditation is at the least a perversion of the Gospel, and at themost a demonic-inspired practice--and I would say both. It negates salvation only by faith in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as payment for our sin, by adding works (or practices) to it. You end up with some amalgamation of Christianity, Judaism and Eastern Religion. It cannot save you for life with God in His Kingdom, to be ruled over by Jesus, on this earth, when He comes a second time... Nor can it offer you the help of the Spirit of God during this life... You give up the Spirit of God for what you get from this weird religious perversion.

May the Spirit enlighten Brook Boon as to who Jesus really is... his personal savior... not a guru leading him to practice yoga and meditation. That comes from Eastern Religions inspired by demons... at best, Brook is a polluted Christian, IF he has accepted the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as payment for his sinful condition. Yoga and meditation involve reincarnation, the opposite of what Jesus came to offer. Eastern meditation involves use of a mantra--like Ohmmm-- to make the mind a blank, except for the mantra itself. behaviorial experts therefore see it as a form of hypnotism... Transcendental Meditation, designed for America and Europe by the late Hindu master Mahesh Yogi, uses a mantra. Advanced TMers report demons appearing as they enter deep meditation, supposedly causing them to transcend normal existence... Making Jesus your guru and adding the practice of yoga is not God's way. It can be very dangerous to your eternal well-being.
