Rooted in the word of God, biblical applications & examples are supernaturally led by the Spirit of God (Rom 8:14) as we are not entertainers but an instrument & a channel of blessing of God. The first thing we should have is to remain in the presence of God. Once we are in the presence of God we will not see & use our flesh but God`s hand (power & anointing) will be manifested. This is when we are led by His Spirit & we flow according to the Spirit and there will be transformation & blessings to the crowd.

Let some of the great Christians of old comment: Dr. Smith Baker: It is not too much culture which has kept the denomination from growing, but the neglect of the spiritual. There have been too many little theological professors in the pulpit, and not enough preachers of the indwelling Christ. The ministry have appealed to the reason more than to the heart and conscience. Far too many of our preachers have had religious conviction without spiritual experience”. Catherine Booth: “I would rather have a little hallelujah lass, a little child with the power of the Holy Ghost, hardly able to put two sentences of the Queen’s English together, to come to help, bless, and benefit my soul, than to have the most learned divine in the kingdom come without it”.

We need more than attractiveness, oratory, and biblical accuracy. There needs to be ANOINTING. That's what the disciples in the early church had. They were clothed with Power from on High. Creativity is a big substitute for anointing in the church today. Creativity will draw crowds but will never sanctify them. Anointing, however, is far more than mere enthusiasm. It is the actual presence and power of God manifesting in the life of the preacher and tangibly impressing the weight of the biblical words upon the minds and hearts of those hearing. This we need far more than "attractiveness" and education.
