The problems which this article points out are real problems which afflict churches all over the modern world. The issue is not about being contemporary or having big screens. The issue is what is true worship? Is it a band, a choir, a feeling intended for us and produced by us? Or is it being humbled in the presence of the Almighty God? Instead of trinkets and feel-good programs the church needs presence...The presence of God. Everything else is vain and worthless. Everything else is man-centered and temporal. Our big screens, guitars and fancy churches will all be burned up (2Pet. 3: 10). In all things Christ must have the preeminence (Col. 1: 18). Christ is all and in all (Col. 3: 7).

All the thing this article speaks of as being that the church is doing (big hair, plasma televisions, etc) is not what the Church Jesus purchased with His blood is doing. There are too many self appointed preachers instead of God chosen, God sent preachers. How far should the church go? No farther than God's word teaches. Plasma tv;s, big hair is not what the Bible teaches. It is what man has allowed to appease the flesh. These mega churches have a lot of people in the building, but hardly any in The Church. Jesus is the way into the Church. This will never change. Let the Church be The Church.
