don't think che ahn was thinking of power and positions for their own sake but being willing to serve in God's ways by His leading according to His purposes whether in the market place, within the safer confines of family or in the corridors of govt etc, professing our faith with proactive works rather than hiding behind complacency and complaining the ungodly govt scenario gets more real and stark with each passing day, at various spots all over the face of the earth

Che Ahn seems to make Daniel, Joseph, and the like, into fellows who pursued power and influence. In reality they were slaves who were forced into positions of power by God's destiny and not their own designs. They weren't trying to make it happen. Remember Jesus is our supreme example. He didn't come to take Caesar's place! He could have. The devil offered the kingdoms of this world to Him. He said, "My kingdom is not of this world." His disciples asked before He ascended, "Are you at this time restoring the kingdom to Israel?" He told them it wasn't for them to know...and that they should focus on something else: preaching the gospel to the nations. The sovereign govt of the universe is on Jesus' shoulders, not because His people are involved in politics but because He sits on the Throne of the Universe and upholds all things by the word of His power. People with political ambitions in the NT ended up betraying or opposing Christ.
