To Bill Stone--don't forget the role of the Spirit of God who performs the miraculous event called Born Again, and who takes up residence in the new Believer--for it is God who is at work in you, making you willing and able to do His good pleasure. Without the Holy Spirit's personal work on behalf of each new Believer, we go back to living under the Old Covenant and rules and regulations, trying to earn points with God for salvation. Without the Spirit, the New Covenant is of no effect... Many who would stray from faith in Jesus unto salvation are brought back by the Spirit, who works in them 24/7 to secure their journey to Heaven...

There is NOTHING one can do to earn their salvation but there is EVERYTHING one can do to lose their salvation. Once saved begins with being twice born into this earth and losing that salvation begins with works of unrighteousness. These works are the only works that count on this planet. One cannot earn their salvation but one can earn their damnation. Initial baptism with the Holy Spirit is in/of repentence (unto the Father), additional baptism in the Holy Spirit is in/of covenant (with also His Son), and fire baptism of the Holy Spirit is in/of sanctification (set apart) by the Holy Spirit INTO the Father, Son and Holy Spirit of God unto becoming THE BRIDE of the ANOINTING which is of His Son. All baptismS can be forfeited with works of unrighteousness and are the ONLY works that count here.
