Wow... actually I am preaching on this sermon this Sunday. It is about 'True Greatness' in the person of John the Baptist, as commended by the Lord Jesus.

Comments: 1) I LOVE the photo of the feet.! That comes from what statue? 2) Thanks for a reminder of some "basics" that are not popular or easy to live...but essential. 3) What does this mean: " Do you love me more than these?...Feed my lambs." Is Jesus asking Peter: "Do you love me more than these other people here love me?" or "Do you love me more than you love these people here?" I think that it is the first, and that Jesus is responding to Peter's claim before the cross that "if all others forsake you, I will not forsake you (ie I love you, Jesus, more than the other disciples love you.) Opinions? 4 You say "The Bible shows repeatedly that God has always chosen the humblest people for the highest posts. Moses, David, Jeremiah, Paul and even King Saul". I would not use Saul as an example. He had a lack of self-confidence but I would not say that he was humble in a Christian way. 5) Normally the word is Servanthood, not Servantship.
